[Problem description]

Transaction code CKM3N. Checking plant 8000 material 85014100070, we found that the actual cost at the end of the period is 0, but the cost component amount is 7566.62 yuan. This abnormal amount has continued from the end of January 2024 to the present. What is the reason for this? How should it be handled?
 

[Problem Analysis]

1. Material ledger data is primarily stored in the following six master tables:
ACDOCA
MLDOC
MLDOCCCS
ACDOCA_M_EXTRACT
MLDOC_EXTRACT
MLDOCCCS_EXTRACT
Where: * EXTRACT related data tables are used by SAP to quickly retrieve ending inventory quantities and amounts.

2. The above problem indicates inconsistencies between these data tables; SAP provides corresponding tools and reports for inspection and handling.
Transaction code FCMLHELP executes the following seven tool reports for inspection and correction.
 

3. The inspection process is illustrated using the tool report FCMLHELP_COMP_MLDOC_MLDOCCCS as an example.
 

As shown in the image above: If the report displays error messages, you need to exit the screen and select "Run the Report Officially": (Test Run = Empty)
As shown in the image above, on the official execution screen, click:

Perform the data repair.
After the repair, run the report again. If the report shows no errors, as shown in the image below, then the modification was successful and there is currently no erroneous data.
 

4. These seven inspection tools do not fully consider the order of data checks when checking each pair of data tables. Therefore, when data needs to be repaired, it is necessary to repeat the above seven report tools, that is, run all seven reports two or three times until all of them show no errors.
 

[Solution]

1. Perform the data repair as described above.

2. After repair, review the CKM3N data again. You will see that the total component cost is now zero. However, there are still some defects: there are still positive and negative amounts between components.
